With a grin and a wave of her magic wand, the mystical bubblewoman evaporates the cherry moonboots off the skeleton-feet of the queen of hearts. She makes a little curtsy and a wink in your direction and you find yourself equipped with a very spiffy pair of boots indeed. The same boots, in fact, which were at the top of the rabbit hole -- oh but you were dreaming then. How odd that these very boots should have been in your dream.
“Follow me” she says, “I’m Jolene”. You look around to solicit Dylan’s approval and he is nowhere to be found. “You’re going to the soulfire, right?” She motions to the moonshine graveyard behind her. “Shortcut.”
